Philly

Philly Restaurant Week 2011, The Capital Grille

Volunteering at Cliveden Park, Germantown, Philadelphia
 Hello Philadelphia!

While I will always be a small town girl at heart, I got used to the city pretty quickly. Spending your first two years in Philadelphia without a car can be tough, but manageable. After a crash course in public transportation, I have developed a complicated relationship with SEPTA. Despite its faults, Regional Rail, buses, and occasionally subways and the EL get me around.

Ask anyone, Philadelphia is a city of neighborhoods, each one different and unique.
I have been lucky to get around the city. My stomping grounds include Center City, University City, Old City, and many places West, Northeast, and even South Philly. The burbs are underrated and many of my favorite places are on the Main Line, still there's nothing quite like the city. If you have never lived in Philadelphia, please do not believe all you hear. This city is not as dirty or as dangerous as some might have you believe, but very cool and without being redundant, very Philly.

As this blog evolves, I will write more on the city and its restaurants, markets, and cool places.

I love that Philadelphia is an all weather city, no matter the temperature, people are out doing something.
